The developers of Farmville just got some splendid news from a Russian investment firm. The Digital Sky Technologies firm has agreed to invest $180,000,000 into the social gaming company. This news comes after Zynga announced that its social games are among the most popular on Facebook, with nearly one-third of the Facebook’s users playing their games monthly. According to Virtual Worlds News, Digital Sky Technologies will take a passive role in the company and will not hold a seat or have observer rights on Zynga’s board of directors.

One report claims that Zynga’s company value is now upward to 1.5 Billion dollars.

What does this mean for you? Well for starters this means that all the time you are spending inside games like Farmville and Petville will not be for nothing anytime soon. There is no indication that Zynga will shut down its popular services.

Since removing the sketchy advertising model of the past raising capital was the next best way to receive money for the company, so congrats are to Zynga!

DonKickyerButtocks on the Mafia Wars Official Website brings up an intriguing viewpoint that I think no one else has dared to ask, is Mafia wars geared towards accounts with high energy as opposed to playability. He writes:

I have finished Mafia Wars up to Episode 4 level 2 of Moscow and am really finding the game tedious now. I have 835 Energy which gives me an average of 8 clicks to each full pot.

I feel that the game has become more about high energy accounts and less about playability. When it costs 109 energy for 5% job mastery, it doesn’t take much to figure out that the game is becoming 1 sided.

I was kind of looking forward to Bangkok but if this is the kind of ratios that we are going to be getting I don’t think I will be joining you there.

The game needs to be playable and at the moment it isn’t unless you have a high energy account.

• Dillinger was killed after being set up by the infamous “Woman in Red.” The woman was Anna Sage (real name Ana Cumpanas) who was a former brothel owner from Gary Indiana.

• Allegedly the Feds cheated Anna Sage out of the $70,000 that they promised her to fingering Dillinger.

In an interview given to reporters at the Reuters media Summit, Zynga CEO Mark Pincus spoke highly of his own company. Within the interview Pincus gave two memorable quotes that should worth noting. First he said that the “market for social gaming will be the whole web and the mobile web.” In itself, that’s a bit over-reaching, but perhaps he’s true. We’ve quickly become a world where harvesting strawberries can be done with a click of the mouse or swipe of the finger.

Pincus also declared, “I think that eventually more than half of the population of people who are socially connected will participate in social games.”

I suppose it’s a attractive attitude to take when your company is the current cash-cow inside of Facebook that everyone is talking about. Could you just imagine everyone playing Farmville or Mafia Wars? I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad purpose for society.

Also, Pincus shared that Farmville and Mafia Wars have been profitable for Zynga for the past eight quarters and he “sees no reason to raise capital in a public stock offering anytime soon.”

For the past few months I have been hooked on these new social networking games. It started out as just something to do to pass the time but after playing games such as Mafia Wars, Mobsters, and Dragon Wars I realized how addicting it could be. The problem is that with a full time school schedule and a full time job I just do not have the time to keep up with those people who can afford to spend 9 to 10 hours a day playing those games. So I decided to look into finding some Mafia Wars Cheats to level the playing field.
